Natural Art Upcycled!

Posted on January 21, 2013 by Megan Milar | 0 Comments

This is my favorite piece of art in our house. Art? Yes, a beautiful collage of nature, nurture, and creativity.  A loving couple of abnormally large crows lived outside our house in India. When we first moved there, I wasn't sure I could live within the vicinity of their terrible "cawing" noise that started at sunrise. They weren't going anywhere, so I had to adjust. Believe was one of several personal adjustments I made during that event in my life. Unfortunately, for them, they built their nest in a palm tree which slowly losses a branch every several months.  Eventually, this fell over 40 feet and landed in mint condition.  It may be hard to see in the photo, but it includes plastic binding ties (like you may see around a stack of newspaper) as well as metal wire, all simply incorporated into the amazing natural architecture of this art form.  Recycled, upcycled, repurposed...gorgeous in it's own unique way.  Decorative eggs from Dharamshala, India.
